Capistrano Lights at Mission San Juan Capistrano  Through Jan. 6
Mission will host Capistrano Lights 2018: a nightly tree lighting. After the Mission closes, guests can take their complimentary downtown San Juan Capistrano map and discover the historic downtown district with plenty of holiday shopping, dining, and wine tasting all season long.

OC Chill Ice Rink  Through Jan. 7
Irvine Spectrum Center will be transformed into a winter wonderland when the festive outdoor Holiday Ice Rink returns to Giant Wheel Court this holiday season. The outdoor Ice Rink will offer fun for the whole family. Skate sessions are 75 minutes. Helmets are optional and provided free of charge. HB APA’s “Side Show”  Jan. 11-13 & 18-20
The Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts presents “Side Show,” a musical based on the true story of conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton who became stars during the Depression. “Side Show” is a moving portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bondage brings them fame, but denies them love. HB APA’s Musical Theatre department presents this annual fundraiser and show, which will be complete with opportunity baskets, auctions, and a pre-show one hour before each performance.

Sister Cities Presents Gianne de Genevraye  Jan. 12
The Newport Beach Sister City Association, with special thanks to the Newport Beach City Arts Commission, will host a reception and conversation with international artist Gianne de Genevraye. Whistling White House Wonderland  Through Jan. 7
The festive 24-foot wide, 10-foot tall snow-capped mountain of toy trains will feature classic model trains of Christmas past – plus Thomas the Tank Engine – whistling over bridges and chugging through tunnels carefully handcrafted by the Train Collectors Association. The six-track design, with more than 50 feet of rails, features an all-American 1950s Midwestern town, with billowing factories, quaint family homes and expansive farms.

The number of volunteers we are recognizing this year is 15. Three of them will be selected to receive $500 scholarships: one volunteer under the age or 12 and two ages 12-18. If approved, an additional Rotary sponsorship will be given out during that night.
