Santa Ana Community Info
Santa Ana, now known as “The Golden City,” began as 27 square miles of mustard fields. Over many years it has grown into a bustling, recently redeveloped community, complete with hotels, many industries and over 350,000 residents. Although known for its deluxe downtown shopping center, The MainPlace, Santa Ana has much more to offer. Many family friendly venues like the Santa Ana Zoo, Bowers Museum of Cultural Art and Bowers Kidseum, The Firefighter’s Museum, and the Discovery Science Center help to establish Santa Ana as a community built around and for families. Many homes in Santa Ana are of historical interest, including the Dr. Willella Howe-Waffle House and Medical Museum, built in 1889 and The Kellogg House at the Heritage Museum. Floral Park is another area of special interest as one of the most established and unique neighborhoods in Santa Ana, filled with vintage homes and tree-lined streets. Museums abound in this multi-cultural community, as do excellent dining establishments.
